Delete your Moment account and data

You can permanently delete your Moment account and all of the data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
This is the fastest way and removes everything immediately:
- Open the Moment app.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account and all associated records are deleted from our systems when you confirm.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can’t open the app, email admin@ownthemoment.app from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account.” We verify that the request comes from the account holder before we act, then delete the account and all associated data. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- your account and email address;
- all in-app inputs — your onboarding baseline, daily check-ins, in-the-moment urge logs, setback / repair details, and safety-screening answers;
- your notification token and consent choices.
We do not retain your behavioural, check-in, or safety records after deletion, except where the law requires us to keep certain limited records (for example, minimal transaction records for tax or accounting). This matches our Privacy Policy.
Note: paid subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Deleting your Moment account does not cancel an active store subscription — manage or cancel that in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
